Send Money

Sending money from one Onit account to another Onit account is simple and free. Onit offers several options for sending money, including transfers to other Onit users, external transfers to mobile accounts, and payments to businesses.

You can send money with Onit to the following:

  • Onit accounts
  • Mobile money accounts - M-PESA and Airtel Money
Send money to a Onit, M-PESA or Airtel Money Account

Follow the steps below to send money to Onit and mobile money accounts:

  1. Select Send Money on your Onit homescreen.
  2. Select the method you would like to use.
  3. Select the Contact you would like to send money to.
  4. Insert the amount you would like to send. You can also switch the sending method from the drop-down and add a note, then click Next.
  5. Enter your PIN and click Send.
  6. You will be redirected to a success screen confirming the money sent.
    • Here, you can download the receipt or share it on your favourite messaging app.
    • You can also cancel the transfer within 30 seconds.
  7. Click Done to go back to your homescreen.
